Visit Lewes has announced the second Walk This Way Festival, a series of themed walks across the district over two consecutive weekends at the end of March.


A huge variety of guided walks is promised, from scent and interactive art walks to Sussex folklore adventures and immersivehistory tours. The programme takes in the whole district, with town, coastal andcountry walks, most of which are suitable for all ages and accessibility levels.

“Following a successful first year, we’re delighted to bring back our carefully curatedprogramme of walks, which we hope will appeal to our diverse and rich community,” explains Helen Browning Smith, Tourism and Arts Manager at Visit Lewes.

Hundreds of residents are expected to take part in this year’s Walk This Way,enjoying the positive health impacts of walking whilst learning more of thefascinating stories of Lewes and its surrounding towns and countryside.

The full programme and booking information is available HERE and a printed programme will be available at sites across the district fromthe beginning of March.

The walks cover a wide variety of subjects, including localhistory, nature, art and photography, Lewes authors, a tour of a vineyard and muchmore.

Walks will be charged at £5 and free for under 12s. Numbers will be limited andoffered on a first come first served basis.
