The 'Stop the Slops' community group is holding a community meeting at the Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven this Friday, the 10th of May at 6.30pm. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed food waste site and to identify the next steps of the protest.

Maria Caulfield will be attending and updating the group on her progress in challenging the plans, along with local Lib Dem Councillors, who spoke against and voted against the planning decision at LDC. Lewes District Council's Cabinet lead for planning and infrastructure, Wendy Maples has also been invited, as well as the Leader of LDC, Zoe Nicholson.
