Seaford Museum at the Martello Tower is set to re-open on March the 18th following the completion of restoration works by Seaford Town Council.Maintaining the two hundred year old Martello Tower is an ongoing and often complex task, and is undertaken by the owners, Seaford Town Council, and Seaford Museum and Heritage Society, the tenants, who run the Museum.
Important maintenance works are not always apparent to visitors, but are nonetheless very necessary and the Museum has been closed for about four months to restore the displays and artefacts and repaint the Kathleen Aires room in preparation for an exhibition by the local artist HH Evans later in the spring.
Make a date for the Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday to Easter Sunday. There will be a trail of clues and questions for younger visitors throughout the Museum and there's an Easter Egg at the end.
The Museum reopens to the public at 2.00pm on Wednesday the 18th of March.
