SEAFORD MUSEUM FUN DAY

May 23rd, 2023.

The Seaford Museum Fun Day takes place this Sunday, the 28th of May from 11.00am to 4. 00pm at the Martello Tower.

The action takes place both inside and outside the Martello Tower, with Stalls, Games, Competitions, His Majesty’s 1st Foot Guard Re-enactors with Music, Marching and the gruesome Field Hospital offering all the fun of the Napoleonic War!

There will be stalls and attractions inside the Museum as well as in the moat. The 1st Foot Guard re-enactors will be marching and drilling on the Esplanade as well as in the moat where they will be firing their muskets.

Like the 1st Foot Guards, the Martello Tower dates from just over two hundred years ago, when the country was under threat of invasion from Napoleon Bonaparte’s French armies. Thankfully, the Tower was never in action and now provides the perfect home for Seaford Museum’s collection of artefacts and displays of local and domestic history.

Normal entrance fees apply: £3 for Adults, £2.50 for Concessions and £1.50 for accompanied Children, under 5's are free.
