NEWHAVEN HISTORICAL SOCIETY PRESENTS - BRIGHTON TRAMWAYS

May 29th, 2023.

Newhaven Historical Society's next presentation - BRIGHTON TRAMWAYS - will be at The Hillcrest Centre, Hillcrest Road, Newhaven, BN9 9EA on Tuesday, June 6th, 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.

Speaker, Ian Gledhill, has had a very varied career, from designing underground railways as an engineer for London Transport to appearing in pantomime with Julian Clary. In between, he has worked in travel and tourism, music publishing, television, and especially the theatre, where he has been an actor, director, set designer, stage manager and opera translator.

Another of his interests is history, and Ian makes a very welcome return to talk about the history of the transport that once served Brighton (but not Hove!).

Guests welcome: Admission is £5.00 - or join the Society on the evening for £8.00 and get free admission to all three remaining talks during 2023, plus free entry to Newhaven and Seaford Museums.
