In October 2022, Seaford Town Council announced that it had taken the decision to refurbish, rather than replace, the current Martello Toilets building. Work has been underway to progress the project, with the Town Council now launching its public consultation period on the refurbishment plans and also seeking tenders from building contractors to undertake the work.

The public consultation period is running from 17th February to 13th March 2023. The details of the refurbishment plans are available digitally as well as in paper format, to maximise the level of public feedback received.

There is a page on the Town Council’s website providing relevant details and a comments option for any responses people wish to make on the plans.

There are also paper copies of these documents available to view in Seaford Tourist Information Centre and The View, with comments forms that can be completed and returned.

The Town Council looks forward to welcoming and reviewing feedback from members of the public.

Whilst the period of public consultation is underway, the Town Council is also seeking to invite tenders from building contractors to undertake this refurbishment project.

This is a unique opportunity for a local contractor to be a key part in the delivery of a much-anticipated set of facilities for the residents and visitors of Seaford. You will have the opportunity to work alongside the Town Council and its professional advisers to help enhance one of Seaford’s defining features, its seafront.
