FRIENDS OF TIDE MILLS JANUARY MEETING

January 20th, 2020.

Brian Skinner reports:

In the most perfect of winter weather, 20 members of the Friends of Tide Mills attended the January meeting and slear-up.

Unfortunately we were confronted with an unusually massive amount of litter this time, which bucks the trend of the recent past it has to be reported.

We collected at least 16 sacks of general rubbish and stockpiled 4 loads of heavier, bulkier items, as always, nearly all fishing industry related.

This amount of rubbish is very indicative of how the sea continues to be used as a dustbin, for not all of this material is accidental spillage surely.

Our next meeting is Sunday the 16th of February, always the 3rd Sunday of the Month, meeting for nominally 2 hours, 10 til 12.

As always we extend a warm invitation to all who, like us, fully appreciate what a special place this still is, for everyone's gentle enjoyment.
