BISHOPSTONE UNCOVERED

Newhaven Historical Society's December presentation, BISHOPSTONE UNCOVERED, takes place at the Hillcrest Centre on Tuesday the 6th of December, starting at 7.00pm.


Ian Everest, who was bought up in Bishopstone village, will reflect on some interesting stories from its past life and times.
Expect to hear about the Saxon settlement, the impressive Bishopstone Place, Manor Farm - its owners and workers, social life after the Second World War, the threat of housing development on the Downs and a trophy winning football team!

Free entry to Newhaven Historical Society members. Guests welcome: Admission £5.00.

You can also join the society on the evening for £8.00 per person, which covers membership until the end of 2023. Benefits include free entry to all six talks in the year and free entry to Newhaven Museum and Seaford Museum.
