FRIENDS OF TIDE MILLS APRIL MEETING

April 24th, 2019.

Report be Jim Skinner:

The Friends of Tide Mills  completed its April meeting on Sunday in glorious weather. Nineteen of us managed to collect just two bags of general rubbish which (given it was the Easter holiday weekend) was very heartening.

On a more serious note, we also recovered two very large bags of recyclable items, namely cans and bottles. The danger with this, of course, given the weather,is the possibility of fire. The wider Tide Mills area is under enough pressure as it is at the moment, so the last thing it needs is a fire outbreak....

Please would ALL visitors take their rubbish home. It must have been bought onto the site, so is it too much to ask that it be taken away? We know that most visitors do value Tide Mills and take both their own and other litter home and we do thank them very much for this attitude. It is appreciated.

Our next meeting is Sunday the 19th of May, 10am -12 noon. More information from me at brianjimskinner@gmail.com
