The Newhaven Historical Society is holding its Annual General Meeting at the Hillcrest Centre tomorrow, Tuesday the 6th of February at 7.30pm. After the meeting there will be a presentation by Tony Helyar, the Curator of Newhaven Museum, who will give an illustrated presentation on some of the unusual artefacts on display.

The Historical Society and Museum are run by volunteers and financially supported by donations, grants and entrance and membership fees.

Annual membership gives you:

* Free admission to Newhaven and Seaford Museums.

* Free entry to five local history talks each year at the Hillcrest Centre.

* An opportunity to meet like-minded people who have an interest in the history of Newhaven and the surrounding area.

* Individual membership is just £8.00 per year.

* Membership for two people living at the same address - £14.00

The museum shop will be set up at the meeting, with books, maps and souvenirs on sale.
