A Seaford estate agency is celebrating after being shortlisted for two national awards. Newberry Tully, in Church Street, has seen off bigger rivals to be the only local agent to reach the finals in two categories of The Negotiator magazine’s annual awards.

The Negotiator is the most widely read magazine about the estate agency industry and competition at its awards is always fierce attracting hundreds of entries. Newberry Tully is on the shortlist for Small Estate Agency of the Year (for 1 – 3 offices) and Community Champion of the Year.

Stephen Newberry, who has been an estate agent in the town since 1987 said: “We’re absolutely delighted with this news. The judging panel is made up of leading figures and industry experts and to be the only local agent to have made it through to the finals is a fantastic testimony to our focus on looking after our clients and getting involved in our community.

“We sponsor many local clubs, groups and associations as we see that as our way of giving back to the community from where we earn our living.”

Andrew Tully added: “In the Community Champion category, I think the judges have recognised our environmental and sustainability efforts. These include an electric car, solar panels to heat our office, recycling and several other things we do to reduce our impact on the environment.”

The results will be announced by the comedian Jimmy Carr at a ceremony in Park Lane, London, on Tuesday October the 31st.

The agency is no stranger to awards success, winning Best Environmental Business at the Seahaven Business Awards in 2016.
