NEWHAVEN MUSEUM OPEN DAY - THIS SATURDAY

Newhaven Museum has an Open Day this Saturday, the 29th of July between 10.00am and 4.00pm, when there will be free admission throughout the day. Visitors can see the recently installed displays and volunteers with local knowledge will be available to answer questions about the history of the town.


At 11.00am, the Mayor of Newhaven, Councillor June Dyer, will officially open the Peter Bailey Archive Room as a tribute to the museum founder, who passed away recently aged 100 years. The room holds the collection of 1000’s of photographs of Newhaven and the surrounding villages, as well as many important historic documents.

The museum is on the right-hand side of the entrance to Paradise Park in Avis Road, Newhaven, BN9 0DH.
