Sixty members of a French Canadian film group from France were welcomed at the Newhaven Ferry Port yesterday by the Mayor of Newhaven, Cllr. Steve Saunders and his Mayoress, Sharon Bewley, along with Cllr. Robbie Robertson, a past Peacehaven Mayor.

Steve and Robbie accompanied the group to Brighton Town Hall, where they were introduced to Cllr. Peter West, the Mayor of Brighton and Hove.

The visitors were in Sussex to promote a film they have produced about the Dieppe Raid of 1942.
