Further to discussions with Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) this morning, local MP Maria Caulfield has gained confirmation that, as promised, the full Seaford Branch Line rail service will return this coming Monday - the 26th of September.

Speaking from the constituency, Maria said: “I am delighted to be able to confirm for my constituents that the Full Seaford Branch Line will return on Monday.

“Rail users in my constituency have suffered a real disservice at the hands of Southern during this dispute, and although this announcement is good news, I want to assure my constituents that I will continue to work to ensure that such a poor level of service cannot return.

“I will also be working closely with both the Transport Secretary and the Rail Minister as they endeavour to deliver a bid for compensation for rail users – something that I have continually called for on behalf of my constituents.”
