SEAFORD GUIDES SUPPORT RNLI NEWHAVEN

August 1 2016.

Following a presentation of RNLI Beach and Water Safety from visiting RNLI Education Officer Margaret Kimber, the young ladies from 2nd Seaford (St.Leonard's) Guides were inspired to raise funds for their local lifeboat station, RNLI Newhaven.

The Guides, who meet at St. Leonard's Church Hall in Seaford on Wednesday evenings, set about organising a time honoured Beetle Drive and raised a fantastic £150.00 in aid of RNLI Newhaven in support of the volunteer lifeboat crew.

The cheque was presented at Newhaven Lifeboat House, where the Guides were able to meet some of the crew members and have a close view of the lifeboat itself.
