SEAFORD MOTORFEST 2016

Seaford Motorfest returns to the Martello Fields and the eastern Promenade (Café to Splash Point) on Sunday the 26th of June. From 11.00 until 20.00 there will be bikes, cars, music, fairground rides, retail stalls and trade stands, refreshments, prizes and fun. And it’s all free! Just buy one of the colourful programmes to support the event and get a field parking space in return - Subject to availability.


After last year’s re-launch of this popular event, this year’s offering is promised to be bigger, better and provide all-day family fun. A number of clubs and many individual owners, will be there with their vintage or classic bikes, cars, hotrods, buses and novelty vehicles.

The bikes will all be riding in from Newhaven, leaving McDonalds Car Park at 11.30am. There’ll be music from top local bands: rock, jazz and samba, on the field all day.

There’ll be prizes for the best vintage car, custom car, vintage bike, custom bike, scooter, rat, trike, hog, the overall best bike, and the best car in the show. Local businesses are sponsoring the categories and the specially-designed trophies.

Enquirers can email seafordmotorfest@hotmail.com but vehicle owners can turn up to exhibit without booking.

All winners receive a glass "Best in" Motorfest trophy and a certificate with each sponsored business logo on it.

The informative 40-page Souvenir Programmes, priced £1.00, are on sale now from street sellers and in shops including Sussex Eye Care, Toy Town, Millie's, K&L Jewellers and the Tourist Information Centre.

Motorfest will be making a donation to the Mayor of Seaford's two nominated charities: RNLI, and Waifs and Strays Dog Rescue.

Other stalls include community, food and the Martello Rotary Tavern-in-the-Tent.

Major sponsors are Brooklyn Hyundai and Chandler BMW Mini. The 1066 Chapter of the Harley Owners Group are involved this year.

Seaford Motorfest Day on the 26th follows Seahaven Armed Forces Day on the 25th, so it’s a weekend to make sure you are in Seaford!
