This year, Seaford Young Mayor Gabrielle Edwards will be presenting four Youth Awards at Seaford Town Council’s Town Forum on Tuesday the 24th of May.

Seaford Town Council is inviting nominations for young people under 18 in the following categories:

Young Carer
A young person who has willingly taken on the role of carer for a parent, sibling, or any family member, doing extra jobs in and around the home, such as cooking, cleaning, or helping someone to get dressed and move around, and being a huge support to the family.

Child of Courage
A young person who has shown exceptional bravery and courage when either themselves or a close family member have been faced with serious illness or disability.

Young Community Champion
A young person who has given their time willingly to help within the community, or has organised/taken part in events to raise money for charity.

Contribution to the Arts
This is a subject close to Gabrielle’s heart. She would like to present an award to a young person who has made an outstanding contribution to the Arts. It can be in the form of Theatre, Dance, Music, Literary, Art, either ‘front of house’ or behind the scenes - every part is important.
