IMPACT SEAFORD SET TO BOOST ECONOMY WITH RADICAL NEW PLANS

February 22 2016.

Impact Seaford – the regeneration delivery partnership for the town – has today received a boost in the plans to drive growth, jobs and prosperity as a Government recognised Coastal Community Team.

They are part of over 100 coastal communities across the country taking control of their futures. Impact Seaford is developing a plan which will help make Seaford a destination to live and work in for years to come.

Councillor Paul Franklin, a Board Member of Impact Seaford said: “Impact Seaford is delighted to be designated as a Coastal Community Team by the government. This is a fantastic partnership which brings together local authorities, businesses and the local community to work on developing our plans to make Seaford an even better place to live, work and visit. We have already had some notable successes, including the I Love Seaford app, and the future for Seaford is bright.”

Communities Secretary Greg Clark said: “Our Great British Coast has enormous economic potential and we are determined to see it thrive all year round, not just in the summer months. The huge number of plans submitted, demonstrate the wave of optimism and wealth of creative and practical ideas to boost economic lift-off. I now want to see the hard work and enthusiasm come to fruition by helping to deliver the ideas through the Coastal Community teams.”
