The Hillcrest Christmas Extravaganza takes place tomorrow, with a packed programme of events and entertainment running from 11.30am right through to 7.00pm.  This is a one off event, sponsored by the Big Lottery Fund and Newhaven Town Council and is designed to allow families to spend time together without having to worry about financial restraints.

There are lots of activities planned for throughout the day – all completely free.  Arts and crafts, jewellery making, face painting, Christmas nails, Santa’s Grotto in the large Summerhouse in the garden, fancy dress parade, treasure trail, Christmas quiz, owls and biscuit decorating as well as storytelling accompanied by a harp artist.

There will also be performances throughout the day from:

- The Pop-ups 1.30pm

- Haven Harmonies 3.30pm

The Mayor of Newhaven will judge the fancy dress parade at 2.30pm.

In the evening, starting at 5.30pm, there will be a Christmas film showing of ‘Nativity’ with free popcorn.
