NEWHAVEN’S FIRST HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR SUCCESS

November 3 2015.

Seahaven Traders Association’s first Halloween Spooktacular on Newhaven High Street last Saturday was widely acclaimed as a resounding success.

Hundreds of children entered the free treasure hunt to win sweets and many, many more got their faces painted. The arena was constantly packed with performers and competitions.

Organiser, Cllr. Lawrence Pulling, said: “The whole day beat my expectations. I hoped it would be busy, but I was amazed by the turnout. The free parking that I organised with LDC was a tremendous help.

“The vast majority of traders in town saw their takings jump. One charity shop told me it was one of its best days ever. For me the best part of the day was watching children having fun and people smiling.”

Joint organiser Laura Dean of the Sunbed Station explained; “The day was an amazing success and the atmosphere was outstanding. We have had so many positive comments, both in person and on social media, with many are saying it is the busiest the town has ever been.”
