FIT FOR LIFE EXHIBITION AND ACTIVITY DAY TOMORROW

October 26 2015.

Seaford Seniors Forum, the group catering for all over-50’s in the town, is holding its annual Older People’s Day event tomorrow, Tuesday the 27th of October.

Fit for Life is a celebration of all that is active, interesting, imaginative and exciting for the maturer person in Seaford.

The event, held in conjunction with Wave Leisure, is at the Downs Leisure Centre from 10.00am until 4.00pm and entry is free.

The ethos of the event is to encourage those aged 50+ to get involved with activities, volunteering, or classes that are available through Wave Leisure or local community organisations, which may be new to them, or a welcome return after many years of employment or family responsibilities.

There is a full programme of activities, information and fun. There will be stalls and demonstrations, talks on health and wellbeing and local services from many of Seaford’s established leisure, interest and service organisations.

Demonstrations by Seaford Traditional Folk Dance Club, Zumba Gold, Seaford Tai Chi in the morning, After lunch the Stroke Association Rehabilitation, Table Tennis Club, Seaford Kurlers, Strength and Balance, and Cardio Rehab Group display their skills.

In the Downs’ Studio there are talks from The Safer Communities’ Partnership at 12.30pm, and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Service from 2.00pm.

There is free parking on site, or in adjoining roads, and a ploughman’s lunch is on offer. Buses on route 12 stop at Sutton Corner. Details are on the website www.seaford-seniors-forum.org and the website of sponsor Wave Leisure, and also on 1space.
