NEPAL EARTHQUAKE CHARITY PUB QUIZ

September 16 2015.

There is a Charity Pub Quiz at The Flying Fish in Denton on Sunday, September the 27th, with proceeds going to help the village of Thame in Nepal following the Earthquakes earlier this year.

It will be a fun, general knowledge quiz and teams are invited to attend at 6:30 for a 7:00pm start. Entry is £5.00 for a team of up to six people.  Prizes, raffle, games and great company are all promised.

Cliff Dargonne, who climbed Mount Everest in 2003, has remained in contact with friends he made in Nepal and he returned last year to help build a bridge for the Thame Village School, high in the mountains above Namche Bazaar. The bridge is still standing, but the devastating earthquakes of April and May this year have severely damaged most of the existing school buildings. Now is the time to rebuild and Cliff will be returning to Thame in the autumn and any money raised will be spent directly in the Thame region.

Offers of donations or raffle prizes will be gratefully received.

For more information contact Cliff on 07802716830 or cliffdargonne@hotmail.co.uk
