GEMMA HAS THE DEAN FACTOR

July 29 2015.

Seaford songbird, Gemma Albrow, celebrated winning The Dean Factor talent competition last week and credited performing with her local musical theatre for giving her the confidence to succeed.

The young mum of two has been performing with Seaford Musical Theatre for the last year, but has enjoyed singing all her life.
The competition, which has been running over the last eight weeks, was held at the The Black Horse public house in Rottingdean. Over fifty contestants took part in the heats, culminating in the final last Wednesday.

Gemma won a £250 cash prize and the opportunity to perform in venues around Brighton.

Gemma, 34, said; "I've always loved to sing but I've never really had the chance to perform. Joining Seaford Musical Theatre last year increased my confidence and self-esteem and also improved my social life. It was the best thing I could have done and winning the Dean Factor was like a dream come true."

She can be seen playing the lead role of 'Reno' in 'Anything Goes' at the Barn Theatre, Seaford from September the 10th to 13th.

Tickets are available from the Tourist Information Centre in Church Street, Seaford, during office hours, or online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/thebarntheatre
