SEAFORD TOWN CLERK APPEAL TRIBUNAL DECISION

July 7 2015.

Seaford Town Council announcement:

Seaford Town Council attended the second date of the Tribunal case on Monday 6th July and is pleased to announce that the claim being brought against the Council by the former Town Clerk was struck out by the Judge on the grounds that section 203 of the Employment Rights Act applies and the Settlement Agreement entered in to by the claimant and the Council provides that the Employment Tribunal has no jurisdiction to hear a claim of Unfair Dismissal. This judgement is final.

The Town Council will be making no further comment on this matter and looks forward to a bright future for the Town with its many new projects including the developments at The Salts, the improvements to the seafront around the Martello Tower and Martello fields and The View, the Council’s new community restaurant and events venue at Seaford Head Golf Course.
