MARIA CALLS FOR RURAL BROADBAND IMPROVEMENTS

June 22 2015.

Local MP Maria Caulfield  has written to the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, to raise the issue of broadband speeds in more rural areas.

Maria said: “The internet plays such an important role in people’s lives, either for business or leisure purposes. I am keen to see improvements in broadband provision in more rural areas of my constituency.

"That is why I took the step recently of writing to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to raise this issue and to press the government. I know the government takes this issue seriously, but it is important they are doing all they can to roll out improved broadband as quickly as possible for everyone, particularly those in more rural areas.

"This is an issue I shall continue to press going forward as it can make such a positive difference for people.”
