New local MP Maria Caulfield today spoke at a meeting of the Newhaven Chamber of Commerce.  “It was great to speak with members of the Newhaven Chamber of Commerce, who asked me a number of interesting questions on a range of issues, said Maria.

She continued: "Local businesses are the lifeblood of our economy and organisations like the Chamber of Commerce have an important role to play in supporting the local business community. I was therefore very pleased to meet with members this morning.”

The Newhaven Chamber of Commerce exists to enhance and encourage development of trade, employment opportunities and the environment of Newhaven.

Annie Lorys, president of the Newhaven Chamber of Commerce said: “We are very grateful to Maria for taking the time to meet with our members today and we look forward to working closely with her going forward to ensure that the business community in Newhaven can continue to grow and thrive.”
