The Festival of Sound that took place at Newhaven Fort in September is set to return on the 12th of September 2015. The much acclaimed event which sold out in a matter of weeks is building on the success of the first one, adding circus acts to the already busy schedule. 45 different bands and DJ’s are expected to play the five stage areas set up around the historic Fort.

Festival of Sound spokesman Dean Amy explaines: "As well as bringing all types of music to this amazing venue, we hope to bring a new fun element to the Festival with circus performers utilising the unique layout of the Fort."
 
As well as transforming the fort into a mass of sound, the festival also adds a huge array of colour and effects to the scheduled ancient monument, including lasers, sky scanners and a huge professional firework display for the finale.

Fully licensed bars and a number of food and merchandise stalls, as well as Have a Go workshops will be running throughout the event.

Amy added: "The infrastructure going in and around The Fort to put this event on is quite staggering. Fortunately we have a number of very professional companies locally, that are able to assist in this area. This will allow next year’s event to be much bigger, with the inclusion of an extra fire escape to allow for more people to enjoy the event."

Doors open at 12.00noon on September the 12th 2015and the Festival will run through to 11.00pm

Tickets for next year’s event will be available shortly priced at  £20.00 each.
