Seaford Twinning Association enjoys a wide variety of social events and traditional Pub Skittles is one of the most popular. The Royal Oak at Barcombe is the venue for its next outing, at 11 a.m. on Saturday October 25th.

Mixed teams, mixed by age as well, can enjoy 3 hours of skittling. Players range from 5 to 95, with handicaps to aid the youngest and oldest. There are token prizes, and the traditional STA Raffle as well.

A hot 2-course buffet lunch completes the attraction, and £12 pays for a place. Anyone wishing to join in should contact Liz on 01323 896315, but must do so by Monday 20th.

STA members enjoyed one of their monthly German Conversation evenings on October 10th at the White Lion. Reminiscences and experiences were exchanged over drinks and food as part of the Plauschgruppe experience.

Between now and Christmas members can look forward to a quiz, an 'Oktoberfest' evening, a Christmas Market visit, and a day on a Stollen and Glühwein stall! Subs of only £10 give a year's membership, and potential members can contact Peter on peterwhitecrier@hotmail.com or Liz on 896315.
