Lewes District Council organised the first ever Seaford Artwave launch last Friday evening at Seaford Tourist Information Centre. The event, which had a beach theme, was attended by Leader of Lewes District Council, Councillor Rob Blackman and the Mayor of Seaford, Mark Brown.

Councillor Rob Blackman said: "The first of the launch evenings of Artwave hosted by the Seaford TIC was very successful. I’d like to thank everyone involved who makes Artwave such a successful and enjoyable cultural event in our districts' calendar."

Over forty guests attended to celebrate Artwave’s 21st birthday. Around 100 venues and 400 artists are participating across the district between the 23rd of August and the 7th of September.

Artwave still remains true to its original concept of open houses, open studios, exhibitions and opportunities to meet the artists and buy their work directly.

Seaford TIC will be selling artwork from various artists involved in Artwave.
