I am sending you this picture because Seaford Rotary club very generously donated £250 towards my son Tom's fundraising for an exchange trip to Canada. The photo of Tom (left) was taken on arrival with Scout billet Matthew McIsaac shortly after they met face to face for the first time.

The scouts and leaders in the photo, plus around 20 others, left on Wednesday the 30th of July for 18 days. The trip includes a week of camping at the Haliburton Scout Reserve and various day trips around the Toronto area. All of this will be with a group of Canadian scouts and their leaders who will in turn visit us here in two years' time.

Tom has been getting very excited, and a little nervous, as the trip came closer. It is going to be an amazing experience for him and we are very grateful to the Rotary club for contributing to his £1000 of fundraising which has paid for his place on the trip.
