SPARK LAUNCHES THE LIFE MORE ORDINARY GRANT SCHEME

July 24 2014.

SPARK has announces the launch of the Life More Ordinary Grant Scheme to help young disabled people aged 8–19 make new friends, enjoy social and leisure-time activities, take part in new experiences and lead a 'life more ordinary'!

This grant scheme encourages organisations and projects to include young disabled people in their activities. The money for this scheme comes from East Sussex County Council’s Short Breaks Service for children and young people with disabilities.

It is very important that the views and opinions of young people are reflected when applying for this grant. SPARK will give priority to applications that provide strong evidence that young people have been actively involved in the ideas and planning of this project where possible.

The panel that will be considering these applications will include young people who are disabled.

Applications are invited from any voluntary, community or statutory organisation? in East Sussex (not including Brighton & Hove) – you can apply for any amount from £300 up to £3,500 ?(funding is available for up to 90% of the total cost of your project) and the deadline to apply is Monday the 29th of September.
