SEAFORD TOWN COUNCIL ISSUES GRANTS TO LOCAL COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY GROUPS

Following the annual grants process, Seaford Town Council has announced that it has recently issued grants to the successful local community and voluntary groups that had applied.


The Council released a total of £5,125 for the small grants, (under £500), and £6,250 for the large grants, (over £500).

The large grant recipients included Seaford Bonfire Society which was granted £1,000 to assist with its annual bonfire event, Seaford Musical Theatre and  SMTJ was awarded £500 towards its stage equipment, Seaford Rugby Football Club was awarded £1,500 towards its changing rooms and showers, Seaford Community Partnership was awarded £500 towards advertising the Heritage Trail and Seaford Bay Exercise Path and Seaford Lifeguards were awarded £1,500 towards video equipment for safety training, both in house and for the community.

The Mayor, Councillor Mark Brown said: “Seaford Town Council always looks to support those groups in the town that make it what it is. We have managed to achieve this and congratulate all those groups awarded funding.”

The grants process for 2015/16 will start in February 2015 and application forms will be available for both small and large grants from Seaford Town Council upon request.
