NORMAN WELCOMES FURTHER GOOD NEWS FOR NEWHAVEN

July 24 2014.

Norman Baker, Lib Dem MP for Newhaven, is delighted that planning permission has been granted for the development of Newhaven University Technical College.

The Newhaven University Technical College is set to open in 2015 and will specialise in marine and environmental engineering, supported by The Aldridge Foundation, the University of Brighton and Lewes District Council in partnership with lead employment sponsor Veolia Environmental Services Plc.

Norman has long championed the project and fully supports the investment in the local economy.

Norman says: “I am delighted that Newhaven is benefitting from more good news and that the planning permission has now been granted for the University Technical College and that Newhaven is to further benefit from new investment into the town's future, securing local jobs and access to local educational opportunities.

“I have long supported this initiative and I look forward to being able to work through the doors of this new educational establishment.

“Newhaven is on the up and investment is being drawn to the area as others begin to recognise this.”
