A new music festival will see the largest number of acts ever to perform at Newhaven Fort. The Festival of Sound will take place on the 27th of September and will spread over five stage areas, and include lighting and visual effects that promise to transform the Fort. 

Rock bands, acoustic bands, local DJ’s as well as DJ’s from London and Brighton will provide all kinds of music from country rock to drum and bass. The eclectic range of music, will unsure there is something for everyone.

Festival of sound spokesman Dean Amy said: “It’s a fantastic venue that gives us the opportunity to create very unique stage areas and lighting effects to transform what is already a very impressive structure.

“It will be a mass of color and amazing effects never before seen at the Fort.

“The stage areas will consist of, Main Stage, Local Band Stage, Acoustic Stage, Main DJ Stage and Local DJ Stage. As well as the sound and light the festival will have fully licensed bars and food areas.”

Confirmed acts are The Skarlettos, The Corrupted, Snakebite, Krypton, Markham & Lodge, Badger Attack, The Firm, The Bourbon Cowboys, Random, Crooked Rooks, DJ'S Morf, Risky, Tetris, Secret C, Zodiac & Sequoia, Matthew Matheson, Elusive and Dan Barnes with more to be announced.

Dean continues: “We are very lucky to have had huge support from both the Fort and the general public.

“With the production and main stage in the capable hands of Arena Entertainments, a company that has worked all around Europe and is currently supplying Brighton Pride with its stages and visual effects.

"I know the Festival of Sound will become one of the must see events in The Fort's calendar.”

Doors open at 5.00pm and the event will finish at 11.00pm with tickets now on sale from Newhaven Fort priced £10.00 each.
