A 'controlled' incineration of the derelict boat next to the Denton Island Bridge in Newhaven, didn't go quite to plan this morning, with the stiff breeze fanning the flames and 'controlled' turning rapidly to 'uncontrolled'.Newhaven fire crews were called to calm the flames and traffic came to a halt as they dealt with the emergency.
All back to normal now - just a burnt out boat to clear up....
