CALLING FORMER SEAFORD TWINS

June 5 2014.

Seaford Twinning Association is calling on former members, former students of Seaford Head School, and former members of Seaford Silver Band and the Fire Brigade in Seaford who may have visited twin-town Bönningstedt.

Over 30 years of Partnerschaft, (friendship and formal twinning), countless people from Seaford have visited their twin town, or hosted German visitors. Now they are being asked to come together to celebrate that anniversary.

Seaford's Twinning Association, with committee member Mark Brown as Mayor of Seaford, are visiting Bönningstedt in July, but before they go, they want to celebrate in Seaford itself.

On Saturday the14th of June at 7.30pm (prompt) the Association will hold an informal celebration in the Council Chamber in Church Street. Members of STA, the Silver Band, and others will give brief talks about their memories and the funny incidents from the last 30 years. Guests are welcome, but  ring Liz on 01323 896315 so numbers can be kept sensible.

Everyone should bring £1 contribution, their own drinks, a plate of food to share, souvenirs and mementoes, and possibly a raffle prize.

A good dose of nostalgia is promised.

The host is Seaford Town Crier, and "Stadtausrufer" of Bönningstedt, Peter White.
