THE VISITOR COMES TO NEWHAVEN

May 7 2014.

Hillcrest Film Society's next movie is The Visitor, showing at The Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven on Saturday the 17th of May at 7.30pm.

The appeal of The Visitor is its story. An aged, listless academic, who is now a widower, floats through his uninteresting life until something happens to jar him. What happens next is unexpected, interesting and poignant. It would ruin the story to tell you, so you'll have to see the film to find out. Suffice it to say it's a story of rebirth. It has comedy, pathos, surprises, authenticity and a philosophical examination of what it means to be human. In short, everything, even politics...

If you want to know a bit more, then go here to see a trailer for this and the rest of the films in the 2014 season.

Tickets £4.50 each available from Hillcrest reception during the week, Monday to Friday 9.30am - 4.00pm.

If you can't get to the Hillcrest to purchase your tickets, remember you can email film@hillcrestcentre.co.uk to reserve yours and pay on the night.

The Hillcrest Café will be open as usual from 6.30pm for meals, drinks and light refreshments.
