With the European Parliamentary elections taking place on Thursday May 22nd, Lewes District Council is urging voters to make sure they are registered to vote in time. People are talking about the elections, but you’ll only be able to have your say on who represents you in the European Parliament if you’re registered to vote by the deadline of Tuesday May 6th.
Registering is quick and simple. All you have to do is visit
www.aboutmyvote.co.uk and print off a registration form.
Even if you think you’re already registered, it’s important to double check. Many people think they are automatically registered because they pay council tax, but this isn’t true. If you’re unsure, you can call your local authority to check.
