Liberal Democrat Councillor Carolyn Lambert’s Freedom of Information request to Seaford Town Council has been refused. Councillor Lambert explains: “I wrote to the Mayor, Councillor Mark Brown, requesting information on the Terms of Reference for the Review Committee and also for information regarding the scope of the review to be carried out by the Independent Investigator.

"I have today received a reply from the Town Clerk refusing my request for this information as it is exempt from being provided under the Freedom of Information Act.

"I find this extremely disturbing. I can see no reason whatever for concealing this information which in my view should be publicly available. This only adds to the perception of an intimidatory and bullying regime at the Town Council which seeks to silence any legitimate questioning. “
