A26 CLOSED
February 12 2014.
The A26 between Newhaven and Beddingham is closed. A tree is reported to have fallen onto an articulated lorry near Southease, trapping the driver.
The driver of the artic was trapped in his cab but has been now freed. He has minor injuries. The air ambulance landed but the casualty has been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, by road ambulance.
Diversions are in place.
