Wave Leisure Trust has confirmed its sponsorship of the 2014 Seahaven business awards. As a previous recipient of an award, Wave Leisure appreciated the support that the local Chambers of Commerce offers to small, large and medium sized organisations and the amount of hard work that goes on to keep a local organisation strong in ever-changing times and circumstances.

Peter Crowley, managing director of Wave Leisure Trust explained: “In the day to day operation of the leisure centres across the district, Wave Leisure uses a good number of local services and trades people. Business relationships with local suppliers mean that we can reinvest directly back into the local economy, ensuring future sustainability of local businesses whilst also receiving excellent customer care and prompt service.

“As such, we are really proud to sponsor the awards that showcase the best of local businesses and allow them to celebrate their successes.”

Annie Lorys, president of Newhaven Chamber of Commerce said: “It is really important for us as a Chamber to recognise and celebrate those business people across the Seahaven area, who put in a continual effort and contribute significantly to the local economy."

The awards will be presented on Friday the 9th of May and nominations for businesses in the BN9, BN10 and BN25 areas can be made via the Newhaven Chamber of Commerce website  at www.newhavenchamber.co.uk/Seahaven_Business_Awards_2014.php. Alternatively nomination forms can be collected from local Wave Leisure centres and a selection of local shops and businesses.

The closing date for nominations is Friday the 11th of April 2014.


Newhaven, Peacehaven and Seaford Chambers of Commerce are member-led organisations with an increasing membership of local businesses. All types and sizes of businesses are welcome to join the Chambers.
