January 17 2014.

Police looking for missing schoolgirl Chloe Newman have arrested three people on suspicion of child abduction. A 33-year-old woman, a 16-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man, all from Newhaven, were arrested yesterday by officers searching for Chloe.

Detectives also searched a home in Gibbon Road, Newhaven.

Detective Inspector Gavin Patch said: "Chloe has been missing for more than a week and we are becoming increasingly concerned about her welfare.

"We are now treating her as a high-risk missing person because of her age, the length of time she has been missing and the fact that she has been associating with older people.

"If you have seen Chloe or have any information about where she could be, please contact us urgently."

Chloe, from Uckfield, was last seen for certain getting into a black car at Haywards Heath railway station at 2.50pm on Tuesday the 7th of January.

Several people have said they think they may have seen her since then but none of them have been confirmed.

When Chloe went missing she was wearing a pink hooded jacket with a black sleeveless jacket, black trousers, blue Vans and large curtain ring earrings. She is slim and had her long blonde hair up in a ponytail.
