MAN STRUCK BY CAR IN SEAFORD

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered a head injury when he was hit by a car in Seaford yesterday. The 81-year-old Seaford resident was struck by a green Vauxhall Astra turning left into Church Street from Clinton Place at 11.00am yesterday, (Tuesday the 14th of January). He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.


The 20-year-old woman driving the Vauxhall was not hurt.

PC Matt Harman said: "I need to speak to anyone who saw the crash happen, or either the Vauxhall, or the pedestrian, in the moments before the collision.

"If you saw or heard anything please contact us, no matter how small the piece of information you might have is."
