A girl was left with facial injuries after being attacked by two other girls at a bus stop in Newhaven. It was reported the victim, a 14-year-old from Seaford, was waiting at the bus stop at 11.00pm on Friday the 18th of October opposite Kwik Fit on Brighton Road when two other teenage girls approached her and asked to use her mobile phone which she was holding. When she said no, they grabbed the phone and then punched her. She suffered a black eye and a cut to her lip.

PC Julie Cocklin said: "We are appealing to anyone who was driving past at the time and might have seen these three girls at the bus stop. Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 203 of 19/10. Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Two girls, both 14, one from Brighton and one from Hove have been arrested for robbery. Both of them have been bailed until November 29 while investigations continue.
