TWO QUESTIONED OVER DRUG OFFENCES IN SEAFORD

October 8 2013.

Two men have been questioned by police on suspicion of having cannabis they intended to sell. A 19-year-old from Peacehaven and a 26-year-old from Seaford were arrested after officers saw a white Vauxhall Astra speeding in Steyne Road, Seaford, at 7.30pm on October the 2nd.

When the car stopped in Cricketfield Road, the 19-year-old and 26-year-old were detained and questioned on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply. They were released on bail until the 5th of December while officers carry out further inquiries.

Police are still searching for a third man on suspicion of driving while disqualified and taking a vehicle without consent.

Sergeant Stuart Mullins said: "We will not tolerate drug dealers or drug dealing in the community.

"Drug dealing causes misery and antisocial behaviour and we will take action whenever we are given information about offences being committed in the area."

Anyone with information about drug dealing should call 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. If you see drug dealing taking place call 999.
