THE WOMEN'S LAND ARMY - A SUSSEX CONNECTION

Newhaven Historical Society's next open event is a talk by local history speaker Ian Everest on The Woman's Land Army - A Sussex Connection.


Ian's mother was one of the 80,000 Land Girls who worked on farms thoughout the country during WW2, and his talk includes some of her personal memories and a potted history of the role of women on farms during the two world wars.

The talk is on Tuesday the 1st of October at 7.30pm at the Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven.

Entry is free to members of Newhaven Historical Society, or just £2.00 for non-members.
