The major traffic distruption in both directions between Newhaven and Seaford on the A259 continues.

The stop/go traffic control boards are either side of the Bishopstone turning and queues are tailing back to Seaford and Newhaven. The problem is aggravated by the works vehicles turning in and out of Bishopstone and, if you get stuck behind one of them smoothing the road, then be prepared to wait.

At midday today, queues were up to half an hour but, once moving, the traffic is very slow thanks to the loose grit surface.
