GREENHOUSE STOLEN IN SEAFORD

July 19 2013.

Thieves have stolen a dismantled aluminium greenhouse from outside a home in Seaford. The offenders took the scrap metal from a driveway in Deal Avenue between midday and 6.00pm on Wednesday  the 17th of July, loaded it into a van and drove off.

Sergeant Stuart Mullins said: "I urge all residents to be on their guard against this sort of theft. Those responsible usually cruise around housing estates in vans and lorries looking for any metal they can see. Please don't leave any metal in your front gardens or on your drives and if you see any suspicious vehicles or people call us straight away.

"Don't forget the town is a no cold-calling zone and we want to deter all door to door activity."

Anyone with information about the Deal Avenue incident should call 101 quoting serial 1313 of 17 July or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
