The sun has got his hat on and we're all set to fry. That will teach us to bitch and moan about the weather. We also have a packed weekend of music, charity events and entertainment here in the Haven this weekend, so get out there and take it all in....

Random Live at the Hampden Arms. Top, rocking local band back to hit the high notes at the pub on the hill at South Heighton. 9.00pm-ish.
Band of Brothers. An evening of folk and gospel songs. Seaford Baptist Church, Belgrave Road. 7.30pm to 9.45pm.
Newhaven Lifeboat Summer Fete. Hoggett's Green. 1.00pm to 4.00pm. Stalls and entertainment for all the family, all in aid of YOUR local lifeboat.

Open Garden in aid of the Save the Children Fund. The White House, 130 Firle Road, Seaford. 2.30pm to 6.00pm via entrance at top of North Way. Refreshments, Tennis from Wimbledon on the TV, music by Maestro Academy Players at 4.00pm. Entrance £1.00 - under 16s free.
Seaford Bonfire Society Sponsored Shave. 12.30pm. Broad Street, Seaford. Pirate Paul will be shaving fellow pirate Phil's beard and Fiona's hair to raise funds for Seaford Bonfire Society, the Children with Cancer Fund and Community Training Assistance & Support.
Hampden Arms Open Vinyl Night. Take your own records to the pub on the hill at South Heighton and play a few tracks. PROPER records.... From 8.00pm.

The British Cactus and Succulent Society Summer Show. Paradise Park. 10.00am - 4.00pm. A chance to see rare and interesting cacti and succulents and to gather advice from the experts. Plants for sale.
