On Monday The Ship Hotel in Newhaven hosted another successful charity quiz night, this time in aid of local wildlife charity Seahaven Bird Rescue.

Seahaven Bird Rescue is a recently formed Newhaven based charity providing care and assistance to injured wildlife, which relies solely on public donation.

The evening event was very well supported and included a quiz, music and a raffle. It was attended by London Olympic torch bearer Andrew Farmiloe, who kindly bought his tourch along for people to hold and have their photographs with. Andrew also represented Lloyds TSB who kindly matched the £273.58 sum that was raised on the night.

Kind donations of pizza forom local establishment I Like 'a' Pizza and a car wash and valet voucher worth £50 from Newhaven Hand Car Wash & Valeting Centre also helped reach this impressive sum.
